Grant Moore is a professional Massage Master with 35 years experience, and
has practiced in both the United States of America and India. His expertise and his profession
have taken him across America, from Texas to Washington, and he spent several years in Colorado.
July 2001 was a watershed year for Grant when he arrived in India and fell
in love with the picturesque hill hamlet of Manali, (Himachal), where he now
has a home and perfects his practice.
When asked about his interest and background in massage, Grant says simply:
“I first became interested in massage when my father introduced it to me 51
years ago when I was only six years old. Although he was an Army officer and
did not practice massage, he apparently was born with "the touch." As I grew
up, I practiced massage on my friends, classmates and family. Later as an
adult, I also shared my massages with people at work – most of whom seemed
to benefit greatly from it.
I have universally been told that I have ‘healing hands’, which is something
that one cannot learn in school. Therefore I am extremely grateful to be
able to share this gift with others.
I initially came to India with a married couple who are old friends, and I
ended up falling in love with the country and its people. I have settled in
Manali (Himachal), but also do spend a much lesser amount of time in the
Kangra Valley (near Dharamsala) during the early winter months”.
