session for the guests to experience the inner
and outer being through focus on simple movements
of the Asana (postures), Mudras (gestures), Pranayama
(deep breathing) and Dhyana (meditation). Classes
are offered, such as: Shavasana (crope pose),
Bhujangasana (cobra pose) Paschimatanasana (back
stretching pose), Vakrasana (spinal twist) Tadasana
(palm tree pose) Nadi Shodhan (psychic network
purification) and Ujjai Pranayam (the psychic
breathing)
Intermediate
Yoga Session
The one-hour intermediate yoga session is designed
according to individual needs. The guest experiences
the inner and outer being and focus on movements
of the Asana (postures), Mudras (gestures),
Pranayama (deep breathing) and Bandha (lock).
Classes are offered, such as: Surya Namaskar,
Yogamudra, Asana and Pranayama
Advance
Yoga Session
The one-hour advance yoga session is designed
to focus on the intensity of holding advance
asanas and pranayamas. The session is designed
according to individual needs. The guest experiences
the inner and outer being and focus on movements
of the Asana (postures), Mudras (gestures),
Pranayama (deep breathing) Kriya and Bandha
(lock). Classes are offered, such as: Asana,
Kriya Tratak, Yoga Mudra, Nauli, Kapalabhati,
Bhastrika and Uddiyana.
Personalised
Yoga Session
Resident Yoga instructors customize this one-hour
session according to specific individual needs.
The session focuses on detailed consultation
and briefing to the guests on their specific
needs. Examples of personalized sessions include:
Meditation, Talk on Yogic Diet, Chanting with
Mantras and Power Yoga.
Ananda
Sadana
Ananda Sadana focuses on Pranayama (breathing),
Asana and Dhayana (meditation). The flow of
Prana (air) is channeled, stimulating the reflexes
and helps to stabilize the mind and overcome
hypertension, anxiety, stress and high blood
pressure. With experience and guidance, the
Prana can be used for healing as well as achieving
a primal state of being.
Ashram
Visitations
Rishikesh is world-renowned for its
spiritual Ashray or Ashrams. A few have been
selected for noteworthy activities. Ananda Yoga
instructors can lead personalized visits to
institutions offering a specialized focus if
there is particular interest in further immersion.
Pranayama
Session
Through Pranayama (breathing practice),
the flow of Prana (air) is channelised, stimulating
our reflexes. This has a direct effect on the
nervous system, helping us to stabilize the
mind and overcome hypertension, anxiety, stress

Fitness with Ananda Yoga
Nature Walk
Contemplate and receive nurturing - The morning
starts with a fresh juice served in the Spa
lounge. This is followed by stroll along the
trail with a guide enjoying the beauty and tranquility
of nature. At a certain point guests have the
opportunity to be guided to a deep meditative
experience. The walk ends with a ginger/lemon
tea and a relaxed soak in the pool, spa or sauna.
Fitness
Energizer
Start the day devoted to health, fitness and
well being. This begins with a delicious high
protein drink in the Spa Lounge. A Spa guide
will escort guests in a jog or a walk. The Spa's
natural setting gives ample opportunities to
tone, firm, build, balance, stretch and discover
the natural way to experience all components
of the body. Guests choose their own pace and
the guide assists in finding the optimal way
to work out. Walk or jog around the trails back
to the destination spa for a fresh juice or
herbal tea.
Kunjapuri
Temple Trek
14 km north of Ananda, Kunjapuri soars
1645 meters high to commemorate Goddess Shakti
and Lord Shiva idols. Awaken your spirituality
with snow-capped Himalayan Mountain vistas and
the sacred surroundings at sunrise or sunset.
Guided by the Spa staff, the 4-5 hours of trekking
experience is a sound balance to a fulfilling
Ananda Yoga program.
Cross
Training
Focus on physical conditioning and
limbering for Yoga with free weights and personalized
coaching from the Physiotherapy Department.
For body tone, allow the massage therapist to
concentrate on special areas with Thai or Deep
tissue massage. The Ayurvedic physician can
further the toning with purification and a medical
focus.
